Strength reflects a compassionate approach. You are like the woman in this card who offers love and patience to the ferocious lion in order to be able to tame him. You give others space and you are tolerant of their needs. You are accepting and can easily forgive any imperfections.
The qualities of Strength are already in you, waiting to appear once you have mastered all your raw, foundational emotions and when you are ready to move on to the spiritual tasks that lie ahead. Its main lesson is that emotions must be transcended if spiritual wisdom and intuition are to be awakened. Your inner voice is often drowned out by the constant noise of emotion and preoccupation with fear. Only once you have eliminated these raw emotions can you begin to create the silence you need. So conquer your fears, control your impulses, and never lose patience with yourself or what you are doing. Eventually you will see the wisdom of letting go of your lower self. The Strength archetype teaches you that you have the strength to tame the beasts within yourself. Meditating on this card can assist your process of honoring and experiencing the inherent strength that is within your nature. It may seem impossible but love, kindness and a brave heart can bring them into balance. The appearance of the Strength Tarot card indicates a time when you need to be very conscious of your instinctual urges and reactions, and bring them into balance with the greater good and meaning in life. This is not a time to act out in rage or in hatred but instead to look at the situation from a place of love and compassion.

Alisa: LMFAO! FUCK YEAH! I NEED A DRUMMER! YOUR LOLITA DRESS SHOULD FIT RIGHT IN!
Rae: All right, we got this!!!
…Y’know, and of course… sleep… and medicine… Those too, hehe…
My blue and pink unicorn pillow pet.
I keep it at PW’s.
Moo is in love with it.
She keeps sneaking into PW’s room so she can lay on it and take a nap.
Too cute. >w< She is so cute.
PW had to leave early this morning, so I decided to spend the morning catching up my Netflix. I discovered this terribly wonderful cartoon called, “Jem and the Holograms.” A fellow lolita talked about the show on her blog, but I never got around to seeing it. I’m in love. It has magical girl elements, the main characters play rock music, and each episode has several music videos. So silly.
I was planning on just relaxing all day, but when Dee hit me up for Japanese food, I decided to go out. I felt like I hadn’t see my ladies for a bit, and I missed their faces. :P
I was surprised when their faces were beautiful and freshly made over! The girlies had gone to MAC counter in the mall and gotten free makeup tutorials. They looked mah-velous, dahling.
There was some very odd discussions about deep-sea critters while we ate. Mermy, Chris, and Dee had gone to an aquarium, and were telling me about their adventures.
When we got back, I helped Dee with her photography assignment for a bit. She was squirting red food dye into a glass with water, and taking photos of the effects. It was really pretty. I wish my college hadn’t been so weird about art classes. I really wanted to take some… This got me to thinking about taking courses at the county college again. Deb’s skills are pretty good now!
Dee brought back BB cream samples to try. I have been wanting BB cream ever since Dee first told me about it, and I’ve seen it on several Youtube channels. It’s sort of a light foundation, a moisturizer, and suntan lotion all in one. Korean celebrities supposedly use it to get that soft, unblemished look. Of light+, light, and extra light… of course I was extra light, haha! I have to say, it was really awesome. I have rosacea, and it greatly toned down the redness in my cheeks. The only thing was, without that redness, I looked paler! But I’m definitely buying it. Not just for coverage, but for all of the addition benefits.
Lauren presented me with the newest copy of their literary magazine whilst lamenting the poor presentation. The derpy graphic designer for some reason thought nothing of HAVING SOME OF THE PRINTING GO SO FAR INTO THE BINDNG THAT YOU CAN’T SEE THE WORDS. >_O Seriously!? I’m not one to use the word “stupid”, but that would be a no-brainer for even a child! “You have to be able to see the print in a magazine.” Oi vey. Such a shame, but you ladies did work very hard, so still be proud!
What a nice surprise it was to come home and discover that PW totally hooked my mom up with some speakers for our living room! And of course Back to the Future was on. Can’t get through May without catching it somewhere. >w< So nice… Mom was so excited, and plus, she can potentially use speakers to play music outside while she gardens or reads or eats breakfast on the patio. Such a nice birthday/Mother’s Day surprise.

Goose, PW, Pete, and I met up at the theater to see Iron Man 3. I loved it! It was definitely waaaaaaaay better than the second movie, perhaps even on an equal footing with the first. Really hilarious, awesome action, just aaaaaaah such geeky feels, and I was surrounded by my fellow geeky loved ones!
After a brief Nintendo 3DS Streetpassing session, we picked up mom and went to our favorite local pub for Mom’s birthday dinner! Too bad it was super crowded and had to wait almost two hours to get seated! (Yikes.) But Mom really wanted to eat there, so we drove around like sillies for quite some time. We kept suggesting places to go in the meantime, and Mom kept shooting them down. Eventually we went grocery shopping!
It was worth the wait, though. We snagged a table sheltered away from the crowded chaos and started by ordering drinks and appetizers. I felt a little bad for Goose, since she’s straight-edge, but I don’t think any of us got drunk, just tipsy. I did almost cry when Mom started asking about Goose’s new school, though. I’m going to miss Goose so very much…
I don’t remember what we talked about, but I know we laughed a lot. Pete kept calling our waitress “nails”, and I scolded him…
When our dinner finally came, we weren’t all that hungry anymore. We ended up having to take all the food home. Still worth it! ^^
Lately, it seems like PW and I can only grab spare bits of time to be together, as our work schedules often conflict, so it was quite a blessing to have an entire day to ourselves.
After spending the morning cuddling and catching up, we went out to a local pancake house for breakfast. I think I ended up eating more of his breakfast than mine, and vice versa. I was in denial. I totally wanted pancakes and got an omelette instead. Bad choice.
We got back into PW’s car and almost fell asleep there because of how stuffed we were, and how warm out it was. I didn’t want to sleep on a full stomach, so he suggested we take a walk around the reservoir. Luckily there was parking because it was a weekday, but I was surprised by how chilly it was by the water! Even with PW’s sweater, it was rather cold… Definitely had a good stretch of the legs, and the scenery was gorgeous with all of the flowers in bloom.
We returned back to my place for a nice long nap before getting some bunny sundae at our usual froyo parlor. We pondered what fun thing we could do that evening to change things up a little. I took a look at my Pinterest and remembered the birthday cake fudge recipe I found. I had intended to make it as a surprise, but what the hell? We stopped to get the ingredients and immediately began to work.
Let me tell you, this birthday cake fudge, we will only ever again make it for a special occasion, because holy smokes was there a lot of sugar in the mix. When I read two cups of powdered sugar, I didn’t think much of it, but that on top of the cake mix AND the white chocolate chips? Probably one of the unhealthiest desserts you could make, ha. >w< Still, it was delicious!
(I have since been pinning madly on Pinterest for more recipes, and tips in general. It’s easier to stay organized and motivated than with other sites I’ve tried to use for such purposes.)
When we were through catching up on Community and Doctor Who, I showed PW the Running Man episode with Jackie Chan. Running Man is a Korean show where people have to perform tasks in order to try and “win” for that episode. They feature celebrities as guests, and this one had Jackie Chan. At first I thought PW didn’t like it, because he wasn’t laughing as much as I was, but once we got to the part with passing the phone, and most especially the Chinese Zodiac plushies, he lost it, haha.
It was only afterward that I realized these were many of the same activities we did at this time last year. It felt nice to do i again… like a little tradition…
I THINK the game is winding down now… I’m kind of disappointed. :/ I mean, I keep waiting for the plot to build into something, and when it does… I don’t feel moved at all… I only felt something for the trial with the three gems, as the story for each of those was fairly touching. Besides that… eh.
It’s still a ton of fun, given Goose and my combined commentary. It’s just a shame, especially with the amount of time Goose has put into the game when we’re not together…
I’ve been loving spending so much time with the Geese, though. ^_^
